Barcelona is recommended for anyone who works in the arts, in writing, painting/designing, performing, etc. Barcelona is not a particularly mindful city because it is very noisy and vibrant and also known for its party life, but during the day it can become a true oasis on particular places. Anyone who knows Barcelona will of course immediately think of Park Güell, which towers over the rooftops of the city and displays the wildest play of colors. For tourists, admission now costs 13.- euros, but it is worth it - if you plan half a day for it and take your camera with you for a photo tour.
Not really a hidden place either, as it is one of the main attractions, but certainly one of the most special places we have ever had the pleasure of visiting: The Sagrada Familia (we recommend to book tickets in advance to avoid long queues) is not really a finished building, it is a living organism and above all the idea that it represents: the life's work of Gaudi, who knew he would never finish it in his lifetime and yet realized his vision, knowing that others would continue it. The estimates indicate a completion period between 2030-2040, but it is still a major construction site.
For followyoursun, the project is an unprecedented example of love and devotion and belief in a higher meaning, in something good, in the consciousness of unity - as taught in Buddhism, for example - or charity in Christianity or humility in Islam. We are all a small part of human history, and yet we can overcome our own limitations every day and stand up for a higher goal. And we can always decide which side of history we want to belong to. People like Gaudi or Walt Disney were belittled, called crazy and even despised during their lifetimes. The director of his architectural school for example stated: "Who knows whether we gave the diploma to a madman or a genius - only time will tell." It is always worth following your visions - even if they may never be completed, because life is an endless journey.
