Today we continue with our work about child-friendly places. When designing mindful environments, special attention is paid to making places safe, exciting and nurturing for children. After all, they are our future and what we give them will have a major impact on how the earth develops. In our experience of mindfully accompanying people, we have found that everyone benefits most when children are given their own space in public areas, for example a playroom or playground, further on child-friendly exhibitions, healthy and child-friendly food and child-friendly activities are also important.
Between the ages of 4 and 6 in particular, children develop a huge thirst for knowledge that often cannot be satisfied at home. This is because children want to discover the world, grasp it haptically and immerse themselves in ever new worlds. It is important that they feel protected in order to gradually expand their scope of experience and their potential without being permanently burdened by environmental stressors - especially in the case of high sensitivity and giftedness.
There is currently an exhibition on the subject of the future in Wiener Neustadt/Austria, which explains to children how variable the paths in their future lives can be and what future job profiles there could be, for example.
Many of these also relate to the topic of environmental protection, which can be taught in a playful way. There are also obstacle courses, games and an upcycling workshop. If you want to spend the whole day in the city, we recommend the beautiful old town with its pedestrian zone, many monasteries and churches, market and much more.
