Menorca - the fairy godmother island

This miraculous island seems as if nothing much has happened in the last few hundred years. Although there is a lot of tourism on the coastline, you can also find so many empty beaches and hiking spots, especially off season. It is often called the little sister of Mallorca (and the not so cool sister of Ibiza), but it should be called the fairy godmother of them. Cause it is incomprehensibly beautiful, wise, mature, does not sell out too much, cares for the local environment and people and conserves ancient, spiritual places (called Trepuco).
If you are a history geek and Stonehenge is too expensive for you, this island can also offer a lot (and there is no entry fee and also not many people on the sites). Adventurers will love the hiking trail "Cami de Cavalls" that leads around the whole island (185km).
Another pro: Menorca has some of the most beautiful sand beaches in Europe and can of course be reached by ferries. We don't have to talk about Spain as a travel destiny yet cause of course it has so much to offer that there is not enough space here to describe it.
