Of course there is a reason why this coastline attracts so many people cause it is the perfect mixture of nature, sea, mediterranean living, french cuisine, culture/art/design as well as savoir-vivre at its best. There is so much beauty everywhere you look that you need time to absorb everything. If you visit, make sure to really plan ahead where you are stopping for day trips, restaurants and tastings as there is plenty to do (so you can really enjoy it in a mindful way).
Another mindfulness hint to enjoy this area is to travel off-season and also go to areas that are still free and not touristically developed (and yes, such spots still exist esp. in the south of Saint-Tropez). And for budget travellers there are plenty of very nice Airbnb-stays around the whole coastline.
Here is a list of our favorite things to do around Saint-Tropez (our "followyoursun-moments"):
Visit the amazing art village of Grimaud (much less traffic compared to Saint-Paul-de-Vence) and/or do a hiking trip from Grimaud to the coast
Eat ice cream in the harbor of Saint-Tropez (our favorite taste is cassis)
Dive into the beautiful nature/hike from Plage de l'Escalat to Cap Taillat (make sure to pack trekking shoes)
Visit one of the botanical gardens around the peninsula
Do a yoga retreat at on of the resorts to get a feel for the superb sandy beaches (for example at Nova Lodges in Port Grimaud)
Dine at a vinyard or do a mindful tasting
Of course there is plenty to do with kids like the usual tourist sites (adventure parks etc.) but often less is more - our kid for example loves to play with sea waves all day and enjoys the thrill of jumping with their flow (make sure that safety measures are met at all times)
